  • Check the oil after every two weeks or so. The car should be on a level ground when you perform this check. If you want your car to perform well, you should fill the oil to the maximum level.
  • Next, check the fluid levels in the coolant, power steering and brake components. Make sure that the washer bottle is full and have the right proportion of screen wash mix.
  • Follow it up by checking the wiper blades and look for signs of cracks. Also make sure that the wiper jets are aimed correctly.
Check the tires for damages, excessive wear and cuts as well as loose or missing nuts. If you are at a Hyundai Service station, check tire pressure with a gauge and its alignment and adjust it if required. Also check the battery and make sure that the cables are clean and electrolyte level is adequate.

Process To Follow

While you make the different checks on your car, you will need to make sure that you follow the right process for each. If you are unsure, you can take help of a person who knows enough about Hyundai Service.
When you check the engine oil level:
  • Start the engine
  • Let it reach usual operating temperature
  • Turn it off
  • Wait for five minutes so that the oil returns to the oil pan
  • Pull and wipe the dipstick clean
  • Re-insert it fully and take out to check the level.
When you check brake fluid level, which should be between the MAX and MIN marks on the reservoir, clean the area before removing the reservoir cap to add brake fluid. This will prevent contamination of the brake fluid. While checking the engine coolant level, make sure that the engine is not running or hot. The level should be between F and L marks. If it is low, add recommended coolant till it reaches F level but do not overfill.

While performing such checks if at any point of time you feel unsure, do not hesitate to take your car to an authorized Hyundai service station to prevent damages to your car

Maintenance Tips According To Different Models

Different models of Hyundai car are scheduled for different types of Hyundai service depending on the issues/recommendation. The different issues with different Hyundai cars are:
  • A Hyundai i20 car may have hardened clutch pedal due to low oil level or presence of air in the hydraulic system. The AC compressor may emit louder noise than usual due to clogged AC filter with dust. There may also be some abnormal noise while braking, which is due to the actuating of the brakes by the Antilock Braking System.
  • A Hyundai EON car may have issues like abnormal noise in the underbody due to the loosening of the silencer assembly hanger or exhaust tailpipe. If this is not tightened, it may result in higher noise levels and vibration.
  • A Hyundai i10 car may have issues such as an interruptive noise when you turn the steering wheel which is due to the drying of the steering linkage components for dust accumulation or lack of lubrication. Also, when you start the engine, there may be a high pitch slipping noise because of the overtight engine belt adding load on the pulley.
All these issues call for an immediate Hyundai service. Therefore, it is best to take it to a certified service center to be on the safe side, literally.
